HOW IT WORKS

The right help for the moment you're in.

Connect for everyday support on campus. Assist when something is happening. Urgent when you need authorities.

THE REQUEST

Connect. Assist. Urgent.

Not every moment is an emergency. Not every moment should wait.

A verified student can ask. Another verified woman can respond — on campus, in a chapter, or just off campus. Nearby requests stay local. Remote support can reach farther.

We move as one.

HOW IT WORKS

Three ways to ask.

Connect

Everyday support and check-ins

Not an emergency. Company on the walk home, a check-in, or another woman nearby when you'd simply rather not go it alone.

Assist

I need help with a situation

Something is happening and you want another woman involved. More immediate than Connect — not automatically emergency services.

Urgent

Contact authorities

A clear path to emergency services. okambé is not a replacement for 911.

CONCEPT PREVIEW

The request, from both sides.

The app isn't live yet. This is the closed-student-beta flow we're building: Connect, Assist, and Urgent — and a verified woman who can respond nearby.

CONNECT

Everyday support and check-ins

Connect is not an emergency. It's for everyday moments when you'd simply prefer connection, company, accountability, or another woman nearby.

Quick support

Remote support — the person who responds doesn't have to be physically nearby.

  • Set a check-in
  • Text with me
  • Call me
  • Video call
  • Track my trip

Move with me

Ask another woman to go with you. On Campus is a Move with me choice, not a separate system.

  • Walk to my car
  • Walk with me
  • Run together
  • Accompany me
  • On campus

If you choose On campus:

  • Walk / meet at the library
  • Leave an event
  • Gym
  • Let's go together

ASSIST

I need help with a situation

Assist is for when something is happening and you want another woman involved. More immediate than Connect — it does not automatically mean emergency services.

Come to me

Connect with nearby support when you want another woman involved.

  • Someone is making me uncomfortable
  • I don't feel safe alone
  • I need a familiar face

Help me leave

Get support leaving a situation, meeting outside, or getting home.

  • Get me out of here
  • Meet me outside
  • Leave with me
  • Help me get home

If you choose Get me out of here:

  • Call me with an excuse to leave
  • Come inside to get me

Find a Safe Point

URGENT

Contact authorities

Urgent is a clear path to emergency services — not a replacement for them.

okambé is not an emergency response service and is not a substitute for 911, law enforcement, EMS, or other emergency services.

NEARBY AND REMOTE

In-person requests stay local. Remote support can go farther.

When someone needs to show up in person, okambé looks for eligible verified women nearby — up to five miles. Remote support like a text, call, video call, check-in, or trip track is not limited by that radius.

SAFE POINTS

A Safe Point isn't just a decal on a window.

It's a promise, visible for every woman who walks by.

First Safe Points live around campus — cafés, salons, pharmacies, and more. The app isn't live yet. Founding partners lock in pricing now, and that support funds the closed student beta.
